Aimed at any self-employed person who wants to protect himself/herself against possible sick leave that would reduce his/her capacity to generate income.
The policyholder may be the individual or the company.
- WHY?
Because for the self-employed person, being on sick leave means drastically reducing their ability to generate income.
Because the Sick Leave insurance will provide them with compensation to offset this loss.
- COVERAGES
Daily compensation for temporary incapacity and/or accident
Pays self-employed workers a daily benefit if they are temporarily unable to work because of an illness or accident. This coverage provides income while the insured can't work, helping cover everyday expenses and maintain financial stability during recovery.
Compensation in case of hospitalization due to illness and/or accident
Pays an additional benefit for each day of hospitalization resulting from an illness or accident. This coverage provides financial support during the hospital stay, offsetting lost income while you receive medical care.
Medical assistance for accidents (according to contract)
Covers medical expenses arising from an accident, including treatment, doctor visits, surgery and rehabilitation, as specified in your policy. This coverage gives you access to medical care without having to pay the costs out of pocket.
Absolute and permanent disability (according to contract)
Pays a benefit if the insured suffers an absolute and permanent disability that prevents them from continuing to work. This coverage provides long-term financial support to help meet the financial challenges that can follow the loss of the ability to work.
- REAL CASE?
A freelancer is engaged in interior painting work. One weekend, he goes for a walk in the countryside with his family and due to bad luck, he sprains his ankle and they have to put it in a cast. Due to this injury, he will have to spend 20 days off work, unable to attend the jobs he had planned.
This generates a loss of income. By having contracted sick leave insurance, with a daily capital of €90, being 20 days off work, the insurance compensates you with €1,800 (€90 x 20 days low).
