Our boat and yacht insurance offers complete protection for the vessel, whether in port, during navigation or on international crossings. We tailor each policy to the type of vessel, navigation area, flag and actual use of the boat, covering both damage to the vessel and its third-party liability.
Yes. A simple breakdown near port is usually handled as a tow or maritime assistance.
When there is a more serious problem — such as risk of sinking, grounding or pollution — the operation may be considered a maritime salvage, with significantly higher costs. On mid-size and large yachts, this type of intervention can involve specialised towing, salvage, refloating and wreck removal costs. All of this is covered.
The standard is to provide full coverage along the Mediterranean coast. However, it is worth being specific about the usual navigation areas in order to provide coverage. For example, inland areas such as lakes or reservoirs, the Atlantic coast, or even crossings to the Caribbean.
Yes. We can insure foreign flags without any issue.
P&I insurance complements vessel insurance. It is recommended for larger tonnage vessels and, in particular, for vessels with crew, as it covers guarantees and limits beyond those of the vessel policy. For vessels with crew, P&I insurance is strongly recommended.

One of the key differences between a generalist insurer and a specialist is the way the vessel is insured.
When a generalist insurer covers the vessel, it does so at actual cash value: the depreciated value. In the event of a total loss, only the depreciated value at the time of the claim would be paid.
The specialist insurers we work with cover vessels at agreed value. This means that the value stated in the policy is what will be paid in the event of a claim — far more beneficial for the client, as no proportional rule or depreciation will be applied in case of a total loss.
Yes, both medical assistance and compensation in case of serious injury will be covered.
Sailing with guests involves significant responsibility for the owner. At MARINE we review and recommend the best protection for occupants and guests.
Some policies set specific conditions when the vessel is out of the water, in dry dock or outside the navigation season.
At MARINE we provide policies with broad dry-dock coverage — such as falls or impacts during crane/travelift manoeuvres, damage during launching or hauling out, fire, theft and malicious acts by third parties — and we also give clear guidance on the conditions to be met for hot works, welding, etc.
